Present Status

Diabetes seems to be a condition officially attached to me since 15 years ago, probably much longer unnoticelly.

It seems to reach the last phase of it, with my hand and feet drying up, and appearance of death skin, rashes, itchiness when insulin seems insufficient in my body.

My grandmom seems suffer from it, but she only complaint about the itchness of skin from time to time.   Three of my uncle also suffered from it.  One of them had the same complaint like my grandmom, although he follow very strict diet.  Another died of diabetes complication, started with abdomen discomfort and pneumonia kill him.  My father had earlier stage of diabetes.  All of them take oral medication for diabetes.

Even monk died of diabetes complication, where his diet is strict vegetarian.

I follow up with my condition at the endocrine clinic at a local general hospital, the doctor, nurses and phamacist recommend insulin, medication and strict diet to control the condition, but the blood sugar level seems to be unperturbly high.

At first I suspect it might due to introduction of insulin injection and withdrawer of Metformin from my medication, which cause diarrhea.  The doctor introduce Metformin hydrochlorine, an extend release form of Metformin, but it doesn't work.

High blood glucose (blood sugar) levels maybe due to insulin receptors do not function properly, or the glucose do not seems to enter the cells efficiently result in the body create a high glucose level in blood to ease cells glucose absorb from blood. 

My blood glucose seems to be normal at night but surge up in daytime.

A family history, overweight, obese seems to be the obvious cause of my diabetes.  I seem to be overweight at childbirth at well.

A very high dose of insulin of more than 300u per day, seems to be able to suppress the blood glucose to normal weight, but the weight gaining create addition problems, and the cost of insulin is tremendous.

My approach nowaday is to inject sufficient insulin to evade itichness and complication arise and ignore high blood glucose.
